Seeing the beauty of African inspired makeup has always instilled a sense of pride within me. A pride that wasn't always so easy to claim. As a young African-American woman with roots in Jamaica, we often hear black skin & thick hair being related to things of ugliness & shame. I cannot find the words to express how grateful I am for the fashion phenomenon that is African inspired makeup.
